Hybrid Fractional Laser Sunshine Coast
The HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser is the latest addition to MD Cosmetic and Skin Clinic and the world’s first laser to utilise both Ablative (wounding) and Non-ablative (non-wounding) wavelengths of light – restoring your skin’s inner glow.
This technology harnesses a new method of resurfacing the skin and maximises your results without the discomfort and downtime traditionally associated with a fully ablative laser.
Although traditional ablative resurfacing is a well-established treatment, it can often be very painful with extended ‘down-time’ as it vaporises and removes aged and sun-damaged skin.
On the other hand, non-ablative laser treatments deep heat the skin, creating a thermal injury that coagulates to stimulate collagen synthesis and healing. Although far less painful and less recovery time, non-ablative laser therapy requires more treatments to see substantial results.
How does it work?
The HALO method has merged the best of both worlds, using an ablative Erbium (2940) and non-ablative diode (1470) wavelengths to deliver ablative results with non-ablative downtime. Offering a more comfortable recovery with less associated risk, HALO is a synergising laser that provides brighter and more glowing skin, surpassing any other laser treatment on the market. We call it our ‘Goldilocks lasers’ to get it just right for you. Halo Glow results are suitable for all skin types, results can include:

The laser works to reverse the signs of ageing and sun damage by removing the old and damaged superficial top layer of the skin cells. The laser penetrates deep into the skin using heat energy to promote the skin’s natural healing response, which switches on collagen and elastin production, new growth of healthy blood cells to supply oxygen and nutrients and remove damaged skin cells give the appearance of ageing skin.
Not only can the face be treated but also neck, decolletage and hands.
