No, this is a myth. As your muscle movement returns, your wrinkles will slowly reappear to their pre-treatment appearance.
The results can last up to 5 months, however it depends on the individual.
You should start to see results in 2 to 3 days, with the full effects by week 1 or 2.
The treatment is relatively quick and painless, taking about 15 minutes in the care of a qualified cosmetic practitioner.
While the treatment is suitable for most people, you must have a consultation first with our doctor.
Cosmetic tattooing is suitable for anyone from their 20s to 80s, as long as you’re in good health. At MD Cosmetic and Skin Clinic, we have performed thousands of treatments over the last 15 years for men and women of all ages.
This is entirely dependent on the skill of the practitioner. Our clinic offers natural results for all cosmetic tattooing procedures.
The typical healing cycle is 4 to 7 days, but you can go to work the next day. The area will generally be darker at first, before flaking slightly and the tattoo may seem to disappear, but this is just the healing process under the skin. There is no scarring when you choose a highly qualified technician, just these stages of healing.
If you experience allergic or bad reactions to make-up, you’re 100% perfect for cosmetic tattooing—no watery or itchy eyes with permanent make-up. It’s the perfect solution for those who would like to wear make-up but find it impossible due to sensitivity to traditional make-up. You receive beautiful, smudge-proof make-up all day, every day!
On average it only takes between 1 to 1.5 hours to complete a treatment. A focus visit will be scheduled 4 to 6 weeks after your initial treatment to layer in more colour if needed and make any minor adjustments to ensure perfection. You will be given after care instructions and after care cream to go home with.
Cosmetic tattooing is classed as semi-permanent, although there can be residual pigment in the skin for many years. Generally, you will need a touch up every 12 to 24 months to keep your cosmetic tattooing looking fresh.
This is by far the number one question every new client asks, and the short answer is no. Topical anaesthetic is used to numb the area beforehand and a special soothing gel used throughout the treatment. Many clients say they actually find it relaxing and almost fall asleep.
Hair stroke and feather brows can be done with a machine or hand piece, whereas microblading is always done with a hand tool. However, all of these methods are still cosmetic tattooing. Each individual hair is tattooed to create very natural looking eyebrows.
Cosmetic tattooing is a form of tattooing to create the look of make-up while being smudge and waterproof. It’s also known as micro-pigmentation, permanent make-up and semi-permanent make-up. Treatment can be provided for brows (ombré, powder and 3D hair stroke), eyeliner, lip liner, lip blend, full lip colour and areola re-pigmentation or creation.
The firming and rejuvenation treatments are gentle, comfortable treatments, that require minimal or no downtime. Many clients return to normal daily activities immediately after treatment. The unique cooling feature of the skin surface provides enhanced safety and additional comfort.
The eTwo system uses physician endorsed, elōs™ technology. It has been clinically proven to be safe and effective for all skin types. *Countless procedures have already been performed worldwide using the eTwo system. Please consult with your aesthetic professional to decide which treatment is right for you.
This technology is the combination of bi-polar radiofrequency and light energies. It works by heating up the deep dermal tissue of the skin, stimulating the production of collagen, which skin needs to reduce fine wrinkles and improve overall skin texture.
Visual results vary depending on the treatment. With the firming application, most clients see immediate to gradual results throughout their treatments. With the rejuvenation application, clients tend to see results after 2 to 3 treatments. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on your skin’s condition and type.
Silhouette Soft Thread Lift
As with any cosmetic medical treatment, side effects can occur. In the first few hours following the treatment the area may feel sore and puffy. Over the next 24 to 48 hours you may experience further tenderness, bruising and swelling, but this usually subsides over the week. Some puckering may occur along the thread, but this settles quickly and may take up to 2 weeks to flatten.
A thread lift is performed in a clinic by our doctor. Before the procedure is performed, the skin is thoroughly cleaned and markings are drawn on the face. Local anaesthetic is then injected to the entry and exit points only—not the entire tract—which can sting. The thread is introduced with a needle and threaded through to the exit point. Once all the threads are inserted, they are adjusted by hand, which can feel briefly uncomfortable. The procedure itself takes 45 to 60 minutes for 4 to 6 threads.
Gravity is a major factor to overcome with a Silhouette Soft thread lift, as we are not removing skin, so this cannot give a surgical result. But improvements are visible immediately after the procedure and there’s a progressive recovery of fresh, new collagen over 18 months.
We can provide ETwo Treatment for:
The cheeks and cheekbones to help them look fuller and to reduce the look of the nose to mouthlines (nasal labial folds).
Eyebrow to raise the outer edge of the brow and to make the eyes look more open.
The lower jaw to reduce jowls and to make the jawline more defined.
The neck to improve the skin tone and look.
Ideally thread lifts are suitable for males or females over 40 years with mild sagging skin and volume loss. It’s not a treatment of choice for everyone and careful assessment by a doctor will determine suitability. Dermal filler and/or cosmetic injections may also be recommended before proceeding to enhance results and longevity.
They may last up to 18 months to 2 years.
Skinial Tattoo Removal
Depending on the size of the tattoo, usually 4 to 8 sessions are required.
Skinial treatment feels similar to getting a tattoo, although less painful.
Laser is generally a more painful and invasive process than Skinial treatment. It involves intense pulses of light that are absorbed into the ink particles, causing these to burst and scatter. This results in lightening the tattoo. The colour pigments and their by-products are then transported away via the blood and lymphatic system.
This involves applying 1 or 2 dots of the Skinial formula to your tattoo and seeing if the ink rejects it, as well as to determine how well your skin heals. A consultation and assessment of your tattoo will determine if you’re a suitable candidate for the treatment.
Removing any tattoo is always a longer and more difficult process than getting one! Some of the factors which may also affect the results and suitability of this treatment include:
Was it done by a professional or amateur? (Ink may be too deep in the skin to reach safely.)
Is it a cover-up? (Double layer or more of ink makes the treatment more difficult.)
Was there previous laser treatments? (If there’s more than 4 to 6 remaining ink particles, sometimes these have penetrated deeper into the skin and the tissue may have been damaged/scarred.)
