Deluxe Epiblading Sunshine Coast
Turn your face into a flawless canvas with the Deluxe Epiblading treatment through our clinicians’ steady and surgical-like precision. Also known as Dermaplaning, this treatment is a gentle method of deep exfoliation that is entirely pain-free. A surgical blade is gently run over the face on a 45-degree angle with a gliding gel, which removes the outer layers of dead skin cells and peach fuzz (vellus hair) – leaving skin soft, shiny and smooth. MD Cosmetic and Skin Clinic have amped-up traditional Epiblading with our Lime Caviar Enzyme and LED Therapy for boosted luminous skin. This treatment has no downtime; results are instantaneous and may help with product absorption, reduction of fine-lined and wrinkles, pigmentation and overall skin health.
- Sun damage
- Dry, rough or dull skin
- Thick vellus hair on the face
- Reduced superficial pigmentation and fine lines
We recommend visiting a clinic for an Epiblading treatment, as this treatment is often advertised as ‘DIY’ or treatment you can do at home – this isn’t the case. We provide surgical blades for a lowered risk of post-treatment complications, while the risk of infection, cutting or bacteria spreading is high when you perform this treatment at home or visit a price-point salon. To feel the full effects of Epiblading, this treatment requires a qualified and experienced clinician for safety like any treatments.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. You have two types of hair on your face; vellus and terminal. Vellus hair is the fine dowdy hair you have. Terminal hair is the thicker hair (i.e thick chin hairs). Vellus hair cannot become terminal and vice versa.
If you only have fine hair on your face, it will grow back soft. Likewise, if you have terminal hair it will grow back spikey. If are concerned about existing dark thicker hairs on your face, IPL hair reduction may be a better option.
There is no need to have a treatment plan with epiblading, as this treatment is immediately effective. You can have a once off to try it before an event, or you can have it as your regular monthly facial. If you are using epiblading specifically for hair removal, we recommend a treatment every three weeks.
Any person is able to get epiblading, however we cannot treat active acne or highly sensitive skin, instead we suggest more suitable treatments to commence with.
This is also a fantastic option for pregnant or breastfeeding women who want to avoid stronger chemicals and get deep exfoliation and glowing skin.
No. Some people may experience slight pinkness to the skin. If you need to wear makeup immediately after, we recommend a mineral makeup and SPF. You can also exercise the next day.
Leave 30 minutes for this treatment, and you may experience some mild redness in the days after.
Avoid any highly active serums such as Vitamin A and acids for three days, after that you can resume your normal skincare. Epiblading actually helps the penetration of your products more efficiently.
